Hairy and Scary
Hairy and Scary
Once there was a beast
He invited everyone in the village to a feast
What was on the menu, they did not know,
but to the feast they did go
For the food was free
Making their wallets jump with glee
To feed the people, was not what the beast did intend,
yet invitations he did send
And so, the guests arrived in droves
The beast ordered his servants to preheat his stoves
From far away the cacophony could be heard,
of this approaching human herd
They made their way into the beast’s hall,
lit by magnificent candlelight
Their faces glowing with pure delight,
at this wondrous sight
The beast made sure to greet and count them all
Then they saw the table were empty,
not a scrap of food in sight.
With a big crash,
The Beast swung closed the door!
Stomping his great big feet on the floor
And with a flash,
he threw off his cloak,
revealing his monstrous form
The Beast’s eyes glowed like coals,
ready to feast on human souls
The Beast was hairy.
The Beast was scary.
He let out a guttural growl,
that slowly turned into a howl
They were terrified,
but no one could save them now
The Beast was hungry
